I was told about this little Mummy Q&A going around & asked if I’d like to take part!! Hey what better way of you getting to know me than this great little Questionnaire
1. Are you a Stay at Home Mum or a Working Mum?
I’m currently a stay at home mummy, this wasn’t what I’d planned by any stretch. I had a very good job until my son was 2 months old, I may go more in-depth into that situation but hey ho. My new plan is to go back to being self employed & try out blogging.
2. Would you have it any other way?
Yes, I would like to provide my son with everything & anything at the drop of a hat like I could with my previous job, I find it quite hard not having what I used to have. I have learnt though things are sent to test us, good things cannot last forever & sometimes we just need to move on.
3. Do you co-sleep?
Yes, I have co-slept with my son since he was born. I’ve looked after him mainly on my own, I am no longer with his father & even when he was around he wouldn’t have woken up if a firework exploded next to his face. I found co-sleeping with my son made him sleep far better & he stayed down longer, I also found that we had a lovely bond from co sleeping.
We spent the first 4-5 months of B’s life like this:
4. What is your one must-have item for your baby?
His comfort blanket which we all referred to as ‘Brown’. This ‘Brown’ is a 1970’s British Airways flight blanket that we found at my Great Aunts house. I never thought for one moment that he would become so attached to it BUT he cries when he can’t find it & smiles when we show him it after he’s been out all day. ADORABLE!
5. How many kids do you plan on having?
One, this beautiful chunk is enough for me. My pregnancy was awful, I have never been so unhappy, stressed & scared in my life. HEY thats a story for another blog post!
I would be happy to adopt one child & it wouldn’t bother me at all if I met someone who had their own children. In fact, It would probably make life easier as they would understand the constraints of dating a single mum.
6. Date nights? How often do you have them?
Never, I’m a single little pringle. I haven’t been on a date in months & I’m very fussy after whats happened to me in the past. I like to take one evening a month out with one of my good girl friends, so you could say I have one a month.
7. Your child’s favourite show?
He is currently in love with Peppa Pig, its George this & Dinosaur that. I hope this continues as I have ordered a custom made Peppa Pig Birthday cake.
8. Name one thing you brought before you had the baby and never ended up using?
A small swinging crib, we were told babies like enclosed spaces. Unfortunately after spending £80 on this crib my son would instantly wake up the second you put him in it as he used to kick out in his sleep & hit the bars.
9. Your child’s favourite food?
B’s favourite food right now are Bear Fruit YoYos. His current habit is probably costing me a fair few pound a day HAHA! They make him happy though & they are just pure fruit, so its a win win situation!
10. How many cars does your family have?
Including my parents & ex we have 4.
One each, oh & B has his own G55 ride on Mercedes. Sounds great right? Yeah, he’s frightened when you turn it on & freaks out if you even dare try to move it! He has found a use for it though, he goes & sits inside it & watches YouTube on his pad with his ‘Brown’
11. Weight gain, before pregnancy, during, after and now?
I hated being the size I was before pregnancy- 7St 7Lbs
During pregnancy- 9St 7Lbs
After- 8ST 5Lbs
Now- 8ST
12. Dream holiday with your kids?
Is it weird that I’m not one of those people that dreams of holidays?
I prefer paying things off & not spending lots of money on a holiday only to regret the huge price.
If I had to say though, I would say something with a theme park for my son.
13. Dream holiday without your kids?
If I really had to then I’d say a chilled out beach somewhere with a clear blue sea. I’m quite a simple to please lass at heart.
14. How has your life changed since having kids?
I have gained so much confidence since having my son, walking into a room where I don’t know anyone doesn’t bother me anymore. Joining new classes also doesn’t bother me & I am now more than happy to talk to new people.
I’ve also stopped treating myself & feel hugely guilty even if I spend a few £ on myself, this wasn’t the case before.
15. Finish the sentence “It makes heart melt when…”
My son when he says weird little things, my favourite being…. ALRIGHT MAYYYTEEE.
He learnt to say that after spending 3 hours out with my dad on a boys day out HAH!
16. Where do you shop for your kids?
I shop everywhere for my son, brands aren’t a priority to me. If I like an item regardless where its being sold I will buy it for my son, this could be a designer boutique or a charity shop. I refuse to spend too much on clothing. That being said I do find it important he has correctly fitted shoes from Clarks.
17. Favourite make-up and skincare products?
I don’t put on too much make-up day to day this is down to the fact I’m not that great at putting it on.
I’m in love with my deep pore charcoal cleanser by Biore, I also love foundation from No7.
18. Huggies or Pampers?
About a month ago I would have said Pampers, they were my nappy of choice for nearly 2 years. I have now stumbled upon Ocado nappies & they are my new favourite, they are half the price for the same amount of nappies!
Happy mummy!
19. Have you always wanted kids?
No, before my ex I was one of those people that said they would never have kids. I actually used to get angry when people would laugh & say I’d soon change my mind. If it wasn’t for my ex’s best friends girlfriend, My son wouldn’t exist…. So thanks Amie !!!!!!!!
20. Best part of being a mum?
The best part of being a mum has to be having a little ‘mini me’ & carving them into a lovely, caring person. Making sure along the way that they don’t make the mistakes you did.
Oh & of course the slobbery wet kisses.
Mummies & Daddies!

I totally get the new found confidence bit! I was rubbish at meeting new people before my little ones came along and wouldn’t talk to anyone but having my two changed all that
I wasn’t too bad before but would worry before going into a new place, now I couldn’t care less.
If I find people don’t talk to me then I’ll just talk to B
I must say that co-sleeping really makes a difference to little ones they sleep so much better.
Some people don’t like it, others love it.
I agree it really does help my sons sleep. <3

I loved co sleeping with my two little ones :). With my first I could slept until she was 15 months and my second until he was 9 months.. would of done longer with my second but he preferred his own space for sleep lol xx
My sons nearly 2 now & still sleeps in with me, Bless his little heart.
<3
My first time here so it’s lovely to read this and get to know the blogger behind the blog. I was constantly told my son would ‘never’ leave my bed because I co-slept from birth. He graduated from my bed at four and is now the happiest, most independent but secure teenager you could ever hope to meet!
Thank you so much for your kind words!
My son is still in with me at nearly 2 & he’s super happy & advanced
xx
