This is Oh My Blog! A brand new monthly interview series featuring a whole host of fellow bloggers. Each month, we’ll be bringing you different themed posts showcasing the very best bloggers out there. This month, the questions are based on the fitting February topic of love! Something I currently have no luck in!

This month, I’m introducing you to Shaney from iMummy.

Tell us about yourself and your blog
I’m Shaney, a blogger and mummy by day and a tube driver by night. I started my blog less than a year ago while I was on maternity leave. It’s mainly about things we go through as mothers that either make us laugh or cry. It’s the place where I vent and write down some of my most personal thoughts and feelings, I love it.

What is your current relationship status?
Engaged! We have actually been together for about 15 years since secondary school and finally got engaged on Christmas day.

Do you ever celebrate Valentine’s Day?
Well… I would love to celebrate Valentine’s Day and make a special effort because let’s face it, normally we are just too busy and date nights are now rare as it is. My fiancé on the other hand thinks it’s just a fakery and doesn’t see why we should celebrate love on a set day. Bla bla bla… I WANT FLOWERS

It’s your first date! Where do you go?
Whiskey tasting? Is that bad?

What’s the most romantic thing anyone has ever done for you?
Well I have only had the one partner so the pressures all on him! Honestly he’s not naturally the romantic type. But when he took me to the park where we met as kids to propose on Christmas day, I was stunned. It wasn’t big and showy but it was really personal and thoughtful. That’s what I find romantic.

What is your favourite romantic film? Cheesier the better.
It used to be the 1996 Romeo and Juliet (Leonardo DiCaprio)… but upon reflection they are a bit stupid really. Titanic is better.

Spill the beans! Who’s your celebrity crush?
VIN DIESEL. And I get grilled about it all the time. I’m saying he has the best looking face in the world. But he is soooo masculine and his voice. Oh my gosh.

Flowers are pretty popular at this time of year. Do you like receiving them or do they really not float your boat?
There is nothing that can cheer me up like flowers! I LOVE them. They make the house look lovely too.

Do you have children? Do you want any (or any more)?
I have a three year old daughter and a one year old son. I would love to have lots of children. I just don’t want to go through any more births. So for that reason… I’m on pause at the moment.

What would be (or was) your choice of song for your first dance at your wedding?
Ha. I have been trying to decide on this lately. Maybe something modern like Perfect Strangers by Jonas Blue

Do you have any plans yet for Valentine’s Day 2017?
No plans yet, I’m not sure that we will any either despite my nagging.

Raw oysters are pretty famous for being an aphrodisiac. Have you ever tried them?
I haven’t tried them and I don’t think I will. TBF I don’t really need them lol

Imagining money’s no object, where would you go for a romantic getaway?
Somewhere naturally beautiful and not too busy like Deshaies, Guadeloupe.

What’s the best Valentine’s gift you’ve ever received?
A huge red rose that was picked fresh that morning and flown over from Holland. It was the most beautiful flower I’ve ever seen!

Finally, what is the number one most important thing you value in a relationship?
Trust. Without that, there is nothing else. That doesn’t mean that the other person can’t make a mistake. It means that if they do, you can trust that they will be honest and take responsibility. That’s all I ask for… and some jokes.
