What could be better than earning points on your normal shop.
I’m going to go through a few of the best loyalty cards around.
Boots Advantage Card
We shop in Boots regularly for perfume, electrical goods, make up & sometimes facial cleansers, as a result we tend to quickly gain points on our Advantage Card. With this card you collect 4 points for every £1 you spend in Boots & on their online store, However if you have children join Boots Parenting Club you will receive 10 points on every £1 you spend on baby products in their baby area. Each of your points is worth 1p.
Unlike some other cards where you have to have a certain amount of points on the card to be able to shop with the Boots Advantage Card you can start using them straight away.
Be aware you can only spend your points in Boots & via their online site, you also need to have the full amount of points for the product you wish to buy. Unfortunately at this moment in time you cannot part-pay with your Boots Advantage Card points.
Make sure you utilise the coupons you get sent, you usually receive a coupon to earn double points on 2 shops & then extra points on items they’ve noticed you sometimes buy.
Morrisons Match & More Card
I wasn’t overly aware that Morrisons had changed their loyalty card, previously you could only earn points on your fuel. Now, however, you can also earn points from shopping in Morrisons, on their online site, buying their flowers, buying from their garden centres & even on your prescription at their pharmacy.
You currently can earn 5 points per £1 spent on your shopping & 10 points per litre of fuel bought, once you reach 5000 points you will be given a £5 voucher that can only be spent in Morrisons.
We currently save all our vouchers through the year & then spend them at Christmas on lots of food goodies!
The Nectar card has to be my favourite & most used loyalty card for numerous reasons. Nectar points can be collected in Sainsburys(In store,Online & fuel), Sainsbury’s Bank, Sainsbury’s Energy, BP, British Gas, Hertz, Homebase & more! By far Nectar points can be collected in more places than any other loyalty card. The amount of points earned differs with each retailer, however, you can earn 1 point per £1 spent instore/online, 1 point per litre of fuel, 1 point per litre of fuel at BP & 2 points per £1 spent in the BP shop. These are just a few I found to give you a rough idea of how much you could earn.
I cannot seem to find anywhere how many points make a pound.
Spending these points though is great fun because of the sheer amount of places you can spend them, my favourite place to spend them is in Argos on toys for my son!
There are too many places to mention so I will just mention a few places where you can spend your Nectar card: eBay, Virgin experience days, Vue cinema, Paradise Wildlife Park & many many more.
Points are worth different amounts at all of these places so be sure to check out online how much your points are worth.
Be sure to keep an eye on your post for coupons, I don’t seem to receive them but my father does.
This loyalty card is my second favourite & is used at least once a week. You can collect points in store, online, in most of Tesco’s other services such as their bank & fuel, Esso, E.On, TopCashback, blackcircles.com, Shopper Thoughts & Nutricentre.
The amount of points you earn differs with each company but as a rough guide, you receive 1 point per £1 spent in Tesco & online, 1 point per £2 spent on fuel & 1 point per 1p of CashBack earned.
For full details please visit the Tesco’s Clubcard website.
I used to receive coupons monthly to help top up my points but these seem to have completely disappeared , I have contacted Tesco themselves & they claim I would have never received them that regularly! Let me tell you I did, maybe it was a mistake but I enjoyed having those!
I can’t comment on the double up & extra points coupons as I don’t seem to receive them any longer but I do receive my £ coupons every quarter.
You can spend these vouchers as and when you please at Tesco, online & at the pumps or you can wait for a ‘Clubcard Boost’ event to boost those ££. Another choice you have is to spend your vouchers with Tesco’s Boost partners. You simply choose the Boost Partner from their range online, add the boost partner to your basket and proceed to the checkout, select or enter your clubcard voucher codes and confirm your order you will then be sent a email confirmation, your token or tokens will either be posted to your or emailed.
£6.50 in Clubcard vouchers gives you 1 days entry to the SEA LIFE London Aquarium, £2.50 will give you £10 worth of Clubcard tokens for ASK restaurant & £30 will get you £100 worth of token for Apartments4you. There are numerous companies who you can spend these with, simply check out the Tesco Clubcard website & view their Boost Partners.
