It was something I feared when I went Vegan… That I would’t be able to find any vegan friendly chain restaurants, places I could happen upon in any town I visited but thankfully I was wrong!
Most, if not all of these have come either personally recommended by me or by close vegan friends.

Vegan Friendly Chain Restaurants

These are in alphabetical order, they aren’t ranked by their yumminess!

Ask Italian – This is a restaurant I have visited & I can highly recommend their yummy Vegan pizza!
You thankfully have a lot to choose from at Ask everything from soup to pizzas & pastas to salads. With a good mix of items on the menu this is a fabulous place to hit if you’re on a night out with vegans & non-vegans as there is something for everyone.
My exact order was Vegan Prima pizza with Sautéed Mushrooms & Roasted Peppers with a side of their Vegan Charlotte Roast Potatoes & by gosh it was good, the base of the pizza was a fabulous thickness & the cheese was yummy too. I plan to head back to trial more of their menu!

Harvester – Whilst there isn’t a lot in the way of choice here I can see that they’ve made an effort to be accommodating. For mains you have a choice of, Penne Arrabiata (which you will find is a common vegan option at many chain restaurants) or stuffed red pepper. They have a fair few ‘sides’ that are vegan, a variety of chips & rice but sadly only one option for desert ‘Coconut & Black Cherry Rice Pudding’.

Las Iguanas – This isn’t a restaurant I’ve visited but it comes personally recommended by some amazing Vegan beauties that I know. Looking at their menu now I can see why.
Pre-starters, starters, mains & deserts on offer & trust me theres plenty of choice. I will have to admit to you now that I’m not a super experimental vegan, I like quite basic foods so would have to say their fajitas & chilli jumped out at me as soon as I looked at the menu.

Pizza Express – I found it a little annoying that they don’t make it super clear on their menu what’s vegan but I can assure you the pizza is YUMMY.
At Pizza Express the choices aren’t plentiful but they are yummy.. You can eat: Roasted Tomatoes, Marinated Olives, Brushetta, Dough Balls, Vegan Pizza &/or two choices of salad.
I had their pizza & can confirm it was great, the base was thicker than I’ve had at Ask or Zizzi which made it a nice change.

Pizza Hut – Sadly not much choice here but its still an option people! YES you can have a pizza hut pizza & it can indeed be VEGAN! You can eat pizza, their chippies & selected items from their salad bar too. Regarding the salad bar you should be aware of the chances of cross contamination! Whilst looking I did have a giggle that their ‘Bacon bits’ were vegan! After asking HOW they managed that they have just contacted me to let me know they are just smoky pieces of yumminess!

Prezzo – I used to go to Prezzo regularly prior to being Vegan now I have to be honest I find their vegan option (that I’m happy to eat) incredibly boring BUT I still want to mention that they have vegan options for the purposes of this post.
Their pizza’s can be made vegan by taking the cheese away but not me thats not super ‘pizza-ish’, the penne arrabbiata that I eat when I’m there is pretty bland but an okay choice if you are at a very lose end.

Toby Carvery – I was shocked when I heard on the Vegan grape vine that Toby Carvery had Vegan options! A carvery offering a vegan option… How amazing is that!!
Amazingly Toby have 3 main meals to choose from; Portabello Mushroom Bullseye Tart , Grilled Aubergine Stack & Root Vegetable Roast. There is also a Vegan desert option; Chocolate & Cherry Torte.

Wagamama – Oh my gosh, I shouldn’t have read the menu. It’s 9pm & I want to head there now!
They have so much on offer that I haven’t had in such a long time. A amazing looking Pad-Thai has my name written all over it. Starters, mains & desert are on offer here. A truly Vegan-Friendly restaurant. This place is for you if you like curries & stir frys!
You can even order take-away from here.

Zizzi – This is my usual haunt. I know I’ll be happy & that my non-vegan friends will also be catered for.
My usual order is the Vegan Classic Margherita Pizza with Peppers & Mushrooms or the Vegan Spaghetti Pomodoro with their Vegan Garlic Bread. Without fail I’ve always been happy with my meal.
I keep being recommended the Vegan Lentil Ragu by the staff but I am so stuck in my ways that I just haven’t got around to trying it yet. Also on offer; A Green Goddess Broccoli Salad, Zizzi Mixed Olives, a mix of yummy sides & more! Oh & of course 2 choices of desert!
